I was walking across the Park yesterday, and took a moment to sit and watch some kids at play.Three little boys were trying to figure out how all of them could ride the tricycle. After much discussion, and I might add, no shouting, they obviously couldn’t work it out.
So they scampered off across the grass to play something entirely different. Chasing each other, hide and seek, who could tell? Leaving. I might add, the disputed tricycle abandoned and lonely on the path.
I often think when I watch children at play they get to the root of the matter faster than any adult’s reasoning would ever manage.
I think our Congress could learn from kids, and certainly the contestants in various trouble spots around the world starting in the mid-East. Each session at contestants is convinced that they are right, cannot see the point of view of anyone else. And one wants to say: “Come on kids. Play nicely.”
