Dream Ship Pays Visit

I was so lucky this week to be sketching up at the port of Redwood City, and two tall ships made a visit–my all-time favorite sight: The Hawaiian Chieftain & Lady Washington floated by to give school-kids a look at the ancient art of sailing a square-rigger. The latter took of for a chance to show the kids what sailing is all about.

What a special treat on such a wonderfully sunny day in March.

Quite made up for the unfinished sketches. Sometimes Fortune favors you, and you grab it with both hands.
