About the characters in “The Domino Deaths:”
Dr. Toby Hunt has been nagging me for 37 years. Longer, if you count that book in the bottom shelf of Grandpa’s bookcase :”40 Years at Scotland Yard.” He was the assistant surgeon to H Division of Metropolitan Police at the time of Jack the Ripper murders performing autopsies on the victims. Not that this book is about those dreadful crimes. Rather it imagines what life is like for such a man after he retires, what ghosts haunt him, what aversions linger?
If you want the real life facts you won’t find them here. But if you simply must have them, look at : Jack the Ripper by Andrew Cook, published by Amberley in the UK and researched by a chap I went to school with.
